Welcome to the Tulsa Rib Company, a culinary gem nestled at 220 E Katella Ave, Orange, CA. As a devoted fan of barbecue, I can confidently say that this restaurant captures the essence of smoky flavor and hearty portions that any BBQ aficionado craves. It's not just about the food; it’s about the experience. The Tulsa Rib Company excels in providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere paired with exceptional service.
The star of the menu is undoubtedly the ribs. Customers rave about the fall-off-the-bone tenderness of their baby back ribs, perfectly cooked and enhanced by a signature barbecue sauce. As Patrick Claude noted, the ribs “were cooked to perfection,” showcasing the kitchen's attention to detail. The restaurant’s cornbread, light and fluffy, complements the meal beautifully, especially when slathered with butter.
But the Tulsa Rib Company doesn't stop at ribs alone. Their offerings extend to flavorful sausage plates, generous pulled pork sandwiches, and a delightful array of sides. From creamy coleslaw to fried potato slices, each dish is crafted for satisfaction, as L.R. expressed about their rib and sausage plate, which included cream corn and cornbread — a hearty combination that’s perfect for sharing or saving for leftovers. The portions are nothing short of generous, ensuring diners leave full and happy.
As you indulge in their barbecue, you’ll also find that the service is as noteworthy as the meals. Patrons like Lisa Redkey have praised the courteous staff and swift service, which enhances the overall dining experience. It’s not just about eating; it’s about enjoying every moment spent within these walls.
For those looking for something sweet to finish off their meal, don't miss out on the carrot cake — a slice is big enough for multiple servings, making it the perfect conclusion to a fulfilling feast. The Tulsa Rib Company promises a memorable dining experience where flavorful barbecue meets excellent service, making it a must-visit for both locals and visitors. Stop by and taste the passion that goes into every dish; you might just find your new favorite spot for ribs!

We were craving ribs and ordered some through a delivery service. The sausage and rib plate came with cream corn, fried potato slices and delicious cornbread. The salad was also good. Both plates were enough food to share or split into two meals with one to eat the next day, which we did.
The food was delicious. The service was fast and efficient. I had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and their specialty garlic butter Tulsa potatoes. The portions were generous. I took home a slice of carrot cake. The slice was enough for a couple of servings.
Came in on a Saturday afternoon and was seated promptly. Staff was courteous and service was exceptional. The food was absolutely excellent, especially the ribs. Ordered a full rack of baby back ribs and they were falling off the bone effortlessly, cooked to perfection along with the sauce. Cornbread was fluffy and warm, paired well with the butter. Coleslaw was sweet, creamy, and not overly tangy. Mashed potatoes were also creamy, I think some bacon bits would have been a good addition. Fried Mac and cheese and onion rings were excellent as well. Truly no complaints about the food. Well done!
We had boneless pork ribs with original bar b que sauce. It came with beans, corn bread, choice of potato. I had baked with butter sour cream and chives. I also tried the potato salad and Mom tried the tabooli. It was good! The portions were huge and we went on a Thursday at 2pm. We had the place to ourselves. We really enjoyed it and recommend it highly.
Their baby backs were good. I liked to get a combo wirh chicken, hot link and ribs. Went there for over 20 years. They were never as busy after changing locations and now it looks like they have gone out of business.
So sad to see this place closed! I had enjoyed their food for 15 years. Hands down the best bbq in Orange. I'm still hopeful they will be back in business in the near future!
Excellent food as usual. Made the trip on our way back to Phoenix. Must stop when in the area
I've been going to Tulsa since they opened at the tiny location ... has it really been 40 years??? Now I feel old. Anyways.. The ribs are always falling off the bone and so tasty. And I think I crave the Tulsa fries almost as much as the ribs! I now live in Palm Springs, but every time we're back home we go to Tulsa, usually to-go - it's an old tradition from the tiny restaurant when you couldn't get a table. ( :
